Assam Job Setu helps you find government jobs in Assam that you are eligible for. This policy explains, in plain language, what data we collect and what we do with it. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023.

The short version: you can use the whole site without signing in or giving us anything. If you do create an account, we store only the few facts the eligibility filter needs — never your name, address, phone number or documents. You can delete everything at any time with one button.

We deliberately store your birth year, not your full date of birth — age is all the filter needs. We do not collect your name, address, phone number, photographs, certificates, marksheets or any application documents.

2. Sensitive data

Your category (caste / PwD status) is sensitive personal data. We collect it for one purpose only: applying the correct age relaxation so the eligibility results are accurate. It is never sold, shared, published, or used for advertising or profiling.

3. If you don't sign in

Everything stays in your own browser (localStorage). It never reaches our servers. Clearing your browser data erases it completely.

4. If you do sign in

Your profile is stored in our database (Supabase) so it works across your devices. Access is protected by Row Level Security: you can only ever read or change your own record. No other user — and no visitor — can see your data.

5. Your rights (DPDP Act)

Access — everything we hold is visible in the "Am I Eligible?" panel.
Correction — change any field and save.
Erasure — the "Delete my data" button in the Account panel permanently removes your profile and saved jobs. No email required, no waiting.
Withdraw consent — sign out or delete your data at any time.

6. What we never do

We never sell or rent your data.
We never share it with recruiters, agents, or coaching institutes.
We never collect your job application — you always apply on the official government portal.
We never ask for payment, documents, or your Aadhaar.

7. Cookies & tracking

We use no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers. If you sign in, Supabase sets a session cookie purely to keep you logged in.

8. Third parties we rely on

Supabase — authentication and profile storage
Cloudflare Pages — website hosting
Google Fonts — typefaces

9. Data retention

We keep your profile until you delete it. Delete your data and it is removed immediately.

Important — we are an aggregator. Job details are collected from official sources and may contain errors, or become out of date. Always verify every detail on the official notification PDF before applying. We are not responsible for decisions made solely on the basis of information shown here, and we are not affiliated with APSC, any Assam Government department, PSU, or any central government body.
